How accurate is the DNA test. |
Accuracy depends on how many regions of DNA (know
as loci) that are tested. If you match a child's
DNA in 19 loci, you are more likely to be the
father, than if you match a child in 16 loci.
Since we test 19 and 23 loci, your test is usually
above 99.99 and can be up to 99.99999% accurate
with
23 loci. |
|
How do I take a DNA paternity test? |
You can take your own samples (quick and easy peace
of mind test), or we can take your samples, for
Legal DNA test. For a peace of mind DNA test we
can mail you a kit
which has everything you need, including instructions,
swabs, DNA brochure, etc. |
|
Are the kits free? |
The Kit,
as mentioned above, is completely free and mailed
at no obligation. The DNA analysis is not free and
prices are included in the kit. |
|
What samples do we have to provide? |
A cheek swab simply rubbed on the inside of the
cheek is all we need. If you want to test
discretely then toothbrush, or cotton bud used
to take ear wax are very good sample types. |
|
Do we need the mothers consent? |
No. We need the
terms
and conditions read and signed by one person
who is taking responsibility for the test.
Paternity tests can be performed with samples
from the Father and child only. |
|
How much does it cost? |
Prices depend on the test you are taking. Refer
to our
Paternity page for paternity prices and to
our
Other Relationship Tests page for further
pricings. |
|
What is the accuracy? |
We test to a minimum of 99.9% with our cheapest
paternity test.
Other relationship tests (i.e.. brother to
sister tests) can vary between 99% to 99.9%.
Some laboratories only guarantee to test to 99%
although they state 'we commonly achieve
99.99%'.
Our tests are guaranteed to achieve the highest
accuracy to cost ratio of any other laboratory.
|
|
How long is the testing time? |
Usually between 2 and 3 weeks. Times can vary depending
on how busy the laboratory is. We do have express
options available (refer to the sample
sheet included in the free kit) |
|
Is it confidential? |
All clients information and DNA test results are
strictly confidential.
Results will only be issued to the person who
signed the
sample
submission form.
We also request a password from you (see
sample
sheet) for your added protection and
confidentiality. |
